again, my issues lie in the plot build and the blitz to terminate the book. the guys never really redeemed themselves (except for Hayes), the others just got a costless pass without really grovelling. the ending was rushed... like Lake was but forgiven because he tried to commit suicide and then went to rehab?? later on the shit he did to her, including breaking her wrist? he didnt even apologize btw that guy is dange

again, my problems lie in the plot build and the blitz to finish the book. the guys never really redeemed themselves (except for Hayes), the others only got a free pass without really grovelling. the catastrophe was rushed... like Lake was just forgiven because he tried to commit suicide and so went to rehab?? after the shit he did to her, including breaking her wrist? he didnt even apologize btw that guy is dangerous in equally far as i'm concerned. i would rather accept had the author detail the events that led to him being accepted dorsum into the grouping, whilst all the guys kept an eye out for him since he is plainly VERY unstable. plus, that shit should have taken timmmmmeeee...i'chiliad talking years here..

overall i thought:
i. Tessa is a chip weak for my liking. she takes those guys back simply similar that. her relationships seem superficial except peradventure with Hayes. and she'due south stupid AF to take unprotected sex with all of them whist knowing they were players.. demand a damn condom and a visit to the clinic before jumping into that shit girl. love doesnt cure STD's..

ii. Ryan zilch connection with Tessa there except for his eagerness to Fuck her..

iii.Sloan what kind of a name is that anyway? that dude was never serious about anything. i love boys who talk muddied but i could only cringe whenever he opened his oral fissure. non to mention that i could simply picture him looking like this throughout the read:

4. Tessa'southward Dad what a douche. i dont fifty-fifty know how to feel. so Ryan'due south mum was cheating with Tessa'south dad, then he left her mum for her. wow.. and he buys them a new house and moves 3 houses down from Tessa and his married woman (cause they arent divorced withal).. over again, wow.. and he cheated in the by with Lake's mum.. i'm outta wow's to give now.. i wish the author had written virtually Tessa's mum'south new bae. i hope she got herself an Italian billionaire with a 5 deck yacht.. her dad was just something else. and i wish he had done something virtually the bullying from the bound commencement. non to wait until a whole year.. he was merely then wrong...

5. HAYES THE Real MVP! i loved him and everything most him..

with that said, the volume must have been adept cause it kept me interested although i wasnt in dearest with the characters.

Main lesson learned from series...

Tessa'south dad is the cause of all her problems...

If he had kept his dick in his pants none of this shit would have happened...

I'm not ok with Tessa feeling guilty over her negative feelings toward Lake and she was basically guilt tripped into forgiving him. Should we blame her for Lake's corruption likewise?

Lake did NOTHING to earn forgiveness. He tried to kill himself and went to rehab...ta-dah all is right with the globe now. The ending is wrapped up in a big ruby-red bow for Lake.

Not the ending I wanted.

It felt rushed and some very hasty additions in the last 10% didn't leave me satisfied. I didn't actually buy into this harem and nevertheless think information technology was a one equus caballus race. But ane deserved Tessa.

Tessa herself went from girl ability in book one, to dependent and needy for these Ballers. She was so hungry for their blessing and in one case she was accepted by them all she kinda lost all her awesome independence.

Tessa herself went from girl power in volume 1, to dependent and needy for these Ballers. She was then hungry for their approval and once she was accepted by them all she kinda lost all her crawly independence.

At that place was also very little basketball in this. One game, that's for the whole volume.

Fail

A disappointing ending. I'grand really surprised I managed to stop this at all. I'chiliad glad it was a trilogy, I didn't need to be dragged out any further. Especially not with a harem I didn't like.

I liked nigh this volume:

✔ Less bullying (only at the end when this someone deserves it)
✔ Relationship Tessa has with her Basketball Team afterward tryouts

✔ Tessa'south generous heart

What I don't like:
✔ Tessa being the rich girls who always talks near being (financially) generous or giving back.
✔ The Dad: living near to his ex and rub his newfound happyness in (in the other books he used his old house similar he still endemic it)
✔ The Dad and his girlfriend: Trying to get Tessa into the new family, by giving her an ain room (she is 17 nearing 18 and lives just a few houses downward the road!),
✔ The Dad e'er trying to be Tessas Hero only neglecting her in the first ii books
✔ The Dad and his girlfriend: e'er inconsiderate most the feelings their kids have (eastward. g. Ryan nigh the car present, Tessa near the keys to her Dads house) and for non telling Tessa about the secret the new girlfriend has nearly beingness an escort in the past, so she could get blindsided
✔ Lake and Baby O'Brian because they don't experience sorry for what they did to Tessa (Dick Flick and broken Wrist). Lake explains afterward the broken wrist.
✔ Tessa for not giving the Ballers and her Dad a harder fourth dimension, for treating her badly.

It was a conclusion that did not run across the other two books which were way better. The pace was non correct, because at some times it was to slow and at others to rushed.
And the O'Brians accept a few scenes where they get what they deserve (Give thanks you lot Hayes).

Basketball is pretty much tossed on the backburner taking abroad the uniqueness and making information technology a high school clichΓ© of plot twists until the cast comes off.

I remember Tessa should've just picked Hayes and been done with it. Sloan doesn't stand up out much, I become the sense he's supposed to exist the comedic relief, Alec was sugariness but it was pretty Ryan heavy and I got nothing from their human relationship only sex. And then yeah I'm anti-harem on this 1.

Oh god the parents. That was weird and the father clearly needs help and on this forepart I think Tessa needs a wake upwards call. I'1000 happy with how things went with Tessa sports wise just other than that, it was a solid if not weak ending. I just can't see it being a how I met your mother story to tell their kids when they grow up.

The serial had its ups and downs, would've liked to see more basketball and less teen drama but I'1000 glad I read the series. Still detest Lake.

Tessa is back and it's her senior year of high school and this time she is more than determined not to let anyone stand up in the mode of her basketball game career and dreams, specially not Lake. This year though won't be like shooting fish in a barrel as not only Lake merely also his younger brother River are wanting a spot on the team and if you can recall - all 3 of them play the same position. Lake has also been pushed over the edge as he is not only in jeopardy of losing his position on the squad, but his friends are all on Tessa'southward side and want cypher to do with him. That makes Lake very dangerous. I did like that Tessa'southward mother was moving on as she deserved to exist happy. The one thing that I felt was a fiddling weak and briefly touched on well-nigh the terminate of the book was Lake'south reason for hating Tessa so much. It could have been touched on more throughout the books instead of this big reveal and lead-upward and then a few pages later it was case airtight and moving on and apologies.

We become to encounter more of Ryan – who doesn't in this book always disappears when somethings going on with Lake.

Nosotros are left wondering for near of the book why Lake hates Tessa so much, simply we do figure it out. So you'll have to read the book to detect out why he hates her so much and if Lake gets his redemption. I will say 1 thing; I don't dislike Lake every bit much as before – I recall I dislike Tessa's begetter more than. We find some things well-nigh her begetter'due south past in the cease of this volume and that together with other things he did in the 2 previous books made me glad that Tessa'due south mom "got rid of him" even though he was the one that got rid of her. I mean he's a great dad and all, but I'm glad he and Tessa'due south mom are not together anymore because I do think she deserves better.

I loved the ending, merely I'thousand really hoping the author decides to make a college follow-up every bit I would honey to read how the characters (including Lake) and their human relationship continues to abound.

Rating: 2.five⭐️ for the whole series

This was ane series that I was glad to be washed with! Don't become me wrong, the series was okay and overall I did kind of enjoy it. Seeing as I managed to finish the series. Withal, their was quite a lot of things that annoyed/frustrated/pissed me off throughout the whole series. Exist warned there is a lot of WTF because that was how I felt.

**************Spoilers down below!**************

Tessa - For a girl who claimed basketball was her whole life and that it was her time to come, she certain didn't brand it seem that way with always going after the ballers and constantly hanging on them. Honestly, information technology was similar she was Rhonda 2.0, except for the fact that the guys (minus Lake) actually wanted her.
She was stupid in forgiving her father so easily. I mean he abandoned them (which she complained about) and cheated on her mum, and starting a new family which didn't include her at beginning. And yet, she easily forgave him. Pretty certain no-one in existent life in that state of affairs would forgive so easily.
Her stupidity and dumbass self when it came to anytime something happened with Ryan Linc. She would castor it off or some reason or excuse to always stick upwardly for him. When she shouldn't have been, which was annoying every bit hell.
For example when she finds out that Ryan is planning to throw a party at her dads house and doesn't fifty-fifty take the audacity to tell her himself she gets mad. Yet when she and Dawn talk near information technology after, she sticks upwards for him. Like seriously wtf, either you lot're mad at him or you're not.
Which brings me to some other thing, her feelings for Ryan seemed to brand her blind to the messed up things her dad did. He had barely been dating Linc's mum and already he purchased a house for them, one which was a few blocks away from her house. Wtf? And her reaction to it was what made me pissed equally hell.
Sure love makes you blind and do/say stupid things, simply you lot tin't be that dumb to act similar all of that is normal. She would only seem to accept anything by telling herself Ryan deserved it because of his broken family unit life and poor childhood. It was like how-do-you-do that isn't your problem or fault most his childhood/life. It doesn't mean jack! If that was the case, so why didn't she endeavour to help Hayes, who had the worse family life growing upwards.
Information technology was similar she seemed to forget that Ryan's mother Leslie is the reason her family is broken.
Or that Ryan knew all along about the affair from the starting time and didn't even tell her.
Just that's okay to her as long every bit Ryan is happy right?!
Seriously no girl in their right mind would e'er forgive a guy like that, or stick upwards for him, or allow him to get abroad with everything he did to her, let alone hooking up with him constantly!
What'southward worse is, when her mum offered to get with her to go her cast taken off, she claimed she saw no sense it in and told her mum no?! Seriously?! Nonetheless information technology'due south fine that Leslie is going?! Wtf?! Oh correct if Leslie goes then Ryan is also. That made information technology seem similar she is picking Ryan over her own mother. And the fact that she was always willing to give into having sex with Ryan, whenever he wanted it. Information technology made information technology seem like that's all their human relationship ever was.

Ryan Linc - He pissed me off, seriously couldn't stand up him. One thing well-nigh him that made me laugh was Ryan wouldn't have a car from Tim, not without paying for it. Since he wanted to pave his own mode. Withal he was happy to alive in the business firm Tim bought for them to move into and pay for all the bills, dinners, flight tickets and whatnot? Similar seriously wtf?! How does that fifty-fifty work? Non happy with a free machine, merely a costless paid for house including bills and all that's okay.
And the fact that just cause he grew up in a broken family unit, he was all to happy for his mum to be happy with Tim. Fifty-fifty if that meant at the cost of the girl (he supposedly loved) family unit.
Honestly him and his female parent deserved nada! Especially after her comment in the second book to Tessa most non blaming her mother for kissing Tim. Information technology was like lady you're the f*cking mistress, then you can't say jacksh*t!
And the biggest one was how he would constantly but want to accept sex with Tessa. Similar hello there is more than to a relationship than sex. Like mother, like son.

Tim 'FREAKIN' Dale - I hated him, how easily he threw away his ain family unit with his manwhorish cheating ways. When he calmly tells Tessa about hooking up with Lake'due south mum, as if it is no big deal that he cheated. Really WTF?! He claims they waited forever to conceive Tess, yet he cheated while that happened?! And his reasoning behind information technology "for condolement and that she was carefree unlike the stress back at dwelling" like WTF?! That'south your justification?! Really?! Your married woman was going through the same thing, yet she didn't feel the need to cheat. And and so the fact that he would exercise things that made it seem like he didn't care about his daughter or fifty-fifty that she didn't be. Like telling Ryan and Leslie things earlier even telling Tessa. And the biggest one of all, not bothering to keep in contact with Tessa (in the beginning) and giving preference to his affair (with Leslie) and Ryan. And so when he would apologise for his mistakes, stupidly Tessa would easily forgive him.
On height of that, when Tessa had to get her cast off and her female parent couldn't come, he freaking decided to invite Ryan and his female parent. Seriously WTF?! Do they actually need to fly down for something like that?! It'due south not like it is a basketball game they are going to, that they all demand to be there for.

Hayes - All I tin can say is he deserved then much more so much better than Tessa!

Alec - Don't have much to say almost him really.

Sloan - Don't really have much to say virtually him either.

Lake - I'm sorry, but he didn't deserve sympathy at all for everything he did, regardless of him trying to commit suicide. And the fact that his excuse was because he was holding onto a notion made in talk and no proof that he did what he did. I'm pitiful but that is seriously some f*cked up sh*t!

Honestly by the stop of this series, I hated Tessa for her stupidity of accepting everything her dad did for Ryan and his mum considering of her feelings for Ryan.
Her stupidity for not realising if she never got involved with the ballers (in the first place), she would have never had to go through all this drama in the first place.
Accepting and forgiving all the guys so easily (minus Hayes), later everything they did to her.
She didn't deserve Alec, Sloan and especially Hayes.
Her and Ryan both deserved to had nothing by the end of the volume. They both weren't worthy of annihilation.
I hated Ryan since the first book, then that didn't change.
Tim and his manwhorish ways.
Lake for beingness a douche.
And Leslie for being a whore and not caring whose family she broke upwards. Honestly she seemed similar a gilt digger.
Seriously I take never had a book brand me so mad and frustrated similar this serial did!
The simply good matter in my opinion of this series was Dawn, Tessa'due south female parent and Hayes. And Alec perhaps a trivial.

I'thou going to do my absolute best not to give any spoilers in this review. That's going to be a bit hard b/c everyone knows where I stand on that douche canoe Lake. And so this may be a piddling shorter than my other 2 reviews for this series. That in NO WAY reflects on my feelings for this book. I absolutely loved information technology just as much as the other 2.

Ok, then we left Foul Line in a horrible manner. Now it's time for senior yr to beginning. Tessa is even so dealing with her medical bug from that cringe worthy ending in book two. At least we have The Ballers to start senior year with. Only so you know, when I refer to The Ballers that is everyone except Lake. He no longer gets that title for me. Then anyway, Senior year. Now since Tessa was robbed the right to play pretty much all of the previous year with all the stupid drama, she is not guaranteed a spot on the team this year. That means she has to attempt out and get in all over again. No problem correct? Except the whole shooting arm in a cast thing. So that'southward ane area of drama nosotros take going on.

We of grade have the whole Lake thing. The guys have made their selection. Can they really walk abroad from a lifetime of friendship though? And Lake is all the same on the team. Technically he'south still a baller for the schoolhouse and therefor he has responsibilities that involve the other guys. Can they put aside their differences and work together without causing more harm to Tessa? Obviously E.M.'s fans are torn in two on the whole Lake issue. I personally don't see how anyone up to this point could maybe want him to finish upward with Tessa. That'southward just me though and there are more than than a couple people who experience opposite of me. I'm not going to tell yous which side wins. What I will say is that I call up no thing what side you fall on, you volition be happy with the catastrophe. We do larn what Lake'due south deal is. Why he hates Tessa so much. And yea, that's really all I tin say on that.

At present the other guys, having FINALLY come to their damn senses, are all most Tessa Dale. Thank freaking goodness. And man do we become some intense times with them. I take to say though, Hayes all the same has my heart the most. He will forever be my favorite and there's just no changing that. The other guys aren't far backside and they all have their own special moments where you lot love them. At present nosotros do take a fiddling drama here and there only that's what makes it a good book right?

Tessa also has to deal with the fact that her male parent and Ryan's mom are a big thing. They are living together. That means she and Ryan kinda live together if she stays with her dad. Awkward much?? But information technology also means that Tessa gets to spend more fourth dimension with her dad with him being right downwardly the street. Can she and her dad repair the human relationship that was torn autonomously in the previous books?

Ok I did my best to give y'all a rundown without spoiling anything for you. I can't actually scream my love for this book like I accept the other two b/c the things I would say will give information technology all away. Simply I Practice LOVE THIS FUCKING BOOK!! I dear the whole series. I'm so sad that these characters volition be leaving us. Still my favorite series this year. I'g and so incredibly glad that E.M. gave usa these characters and this story. As distressing as I am to meet them become, I loved information technology all and now I'one thousand set up for whatever brilliantness she brings us side by side.

-Sighs- I experience then many emotions coursing through me as I become gear up to review this book. I am giving this whole trilogy 4 stars equally I genuinely enjoyed the male person characters, along with Tess the female protagonist, fifty-fifty Lake the antagonist.

But what really pissed me off was honestly Tess's father. He is just a cheater and honestly I understand everyone makes mistakes, just I am merely done with him. At get-go he wasn't in that location for Tess when she was bullied and solitary, so he was only abrasive. On pinnacle of that he cheated on Tess's mom twice. Just because you are rich and you help out children, doesn't mean you lot can just fuck around. I wonder if he thought If his ex wife was stressed, would she sleep around? When he and Tess's mother was trying to become pregnant, he cheated on her. 18 years later he cheats on her again.

I just did not enjoy the begetter, no matter how much the author tried to portray him as a good guy. Honestly I enjoyed the other characters, specially Hayes, my Teddy Comport. He and Sloane are my favorite, though I still dearest Alec and Ryan.

If y'all don't mind the father being annoying, I think you will truly enjoy this trilogy, equally this reverse harem has the normal plot line like other bullying ones, withal it has its own unique story and I love the thought of information technology revolving around sports, rather than academics. It's a nice modify.

I totally loved it so I requite it 5/5 stars. I must say I am actually hoping for a spin-off series of their State years but am completely happy if this is where it ends.

In the conclusion of the Ballers of Rockford Loftier, I definitely came to realize why I love bang-up romances like At the Buzzer by EM Moore. To read the tension and malaise amid the characters it'due south similar reading a deeper passion, non of love but for command and potency too as how deep the feelings of hatred one may exist trying to control within themselves. And EM Moore does non disappoint.

In the conclusion of the Ballers of Rockford High, I definitely came to realize why I beloved bully romances like At the Cablegram by EM Moore. To read the tension and angst among the characters it's like reading a deeper passion, not of beloved but for control and say-so equally well equally how deep the feelings of hatred one may be trying to command within themselves. And EM Moore does not disappoint.

Quintessa/Tessa comes back after her major injury, caused past her biggest bully ,Lake , in volume 2, with her own vengeance. "I knew I wasn't simply there for basketball. I was there for them. For Ryan. For their team. I didn't know how I was supposed to fit in, only I knew I was. I sympathize information technology all now. And I know that I love every single one of them. Hayes. Alec. Sloan. Ryan. My forever starting lineup. They're all I need."

Tessa was ready to take control dorsum of her life and now has the bankroll of her sexy Ballers to practice it. She only had a short time to become her wrist back in working gild to push button through on her dreams. It was definitely a mental boxing as well as a physical ane, but her boys were in that location for her to help her. "That would be the biggest travesty in all this. Not that one jerk bankrupt my wrist, but that I let him break me. All of me". Tessa was going to have to push herself to come up out unbroken, but Lake was not done with Tessa and would definitely keep trying to break her right up until the buzzer.

Every bit inside this series, the passion that Tessa feels for the Ballers increases inside each book, and book 3 is definitely HOT! All 4 boys have connected their pursuit of a relationship with Tessa and have taken their relationships as far physically that one tin. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that only mature readers read because the passion is definitely X-rated, but washed so not equally teens looking for release, but with feelings and emotions that show growth and maturity.

"Nothing could've beaten usa this twelvemonth unless information technology was ourselves, but we took care of that on our ain. We mended our bonds, we strengthened our minds. We're playing equally one."

Final book in the serial answered a whole lot of my questions, and equally usual, I savage in dearest with all the characters that had made me angry. Even Lake.
I would love to see them all at college together, but as the same fourth dimension im satisfied that they have had their happy ending.
I smashed this series out in a day and a one-half, and im so glad that I did!

I forced myself to stay awake and read the decision! I hated someone so deeply coming into this book an left wishing they could have had that dynamic earlier than the ending. πŸ’œ Id love time know how college is going for Tessa!

Honestly, I did not like these books, it had potential and I thought it would get better but...it really didnt.
Here is the thing, bullying makes me really angry, I cannot accept, so when I read all the nasty and awful things those 5 boys are doing to Tessa, the master character, I got mad but then her own beliefs is so diminishing that she is in fact the baller skank and should not be offended by that.
And so comes book 2 and the writer tries to find a mode to justify those boys behavior.
On book 3,

On book 3, they decided to share her, sexually at the age of 17, and she forth with hers and theirs families are ok.
Really?! One night sex with Ryan, the next with Alec and on on and on.
Yeah, nope.
At least I read it for gratuitous otherwise I would fight to return them all.

While I had problems with the first two books, there's no denying that I enjoyed them. They made me frustrated, sometimes even angry but they were entertaining. I looked forward to the Ballers senior season. This volume disappointed. It was rushed. Serious storylines were glossed over. Tessa was too all-around. Forgive dad for his selfish thoughtlessness. Get over Lake's attempt to end her basketball playing. I wasn't satisfied with Lake's reason for hating Tessa. Immature at best, melodramatic at worst. His drug use and the injury he caused Tessa didn't issue in the consequences that they should have. And Tessa's dad NEVER showed any character growth. I wasn't a fan of him from the get-go moment even though it was expected of the reader to hold him up every bit a celebrity idol. He was an inconsiderate father, a selfish man, and simply not likable. Yet Tessa forgave him, fabricated excuses for him, and kept him on a pedestal. His storyline brought downwardly the entire serial for me. With a little more attention to character growth and more than detail to consequences and feelings, this would have been better for me.

I'm a little irritated this took iii books for us to notice out why he was and then hateful towards Tessa. I mean, the pill popping was understandable up to a point just if the other boys were really his friends they would have done something earlier it got that far.

Information technology was similar it took Tessa getting hurt for them to come up together and even then they went about information technology the wrong mode. I'thousand not sure they were ever true friends. More like baasketball buddies with the way they shut him out. Bad form on them. And the ending was left a bit open ended which I found super abrasive.

Tessa didn't really abound that much in this ane, it was more of the same with her resolve to exist a basketball player with a more than roamnce driven theme. Don't go me wrong, I honey me some romance merely for some reason I was more focused on her basketball game goals than the romance parts. Anyway, I'm glad I finished the serial. Perhaps I'll read more from this writer.

I absolutely accept loved this serial!! I have been in dearest with these characters since volume 1, Game On. Tessa is just one of those characters that yous root for her, considering she is just such a bad a@@ character. She fights so difficult to be able to practice what she knows she can. Which is play basketball. She fights just as difficult if not harder to make that happen and she did non let anyone get in her way. Meaning Lake, which I am pretty sure we all hate.

I know a lot of u.s. were wondering what would happen with Lake, and I take to say this is definitely something I could live with. I got scared for a second, because I was like, "wait, hold up, no, just no". But it all concluded in my opinion the best way it could take.
That being said, if you have been following this series, you volition love this ending. For those of you lot who have not read this series, please practise. Y'all are missing out on a fun read!!

I picked this up because, if I'g not mistaken, Jaymin Eve (1 of my favorite PNR authors) recommended this RH series on her FB group. I'm always upward for annihilation and I've never read an RH gimmicky romance book then I thought I'd give this a shot. And after finishing all 3 books, I learned that gimmicky romance RH books are just not for me.

I gave this book a 1-star not because it'south desperately written. On the contrary, I thought the story telling was nifty! It's interesting and it really pulls you in. But this is a affair of personal preference and I realized that I'm totally okay with RH in a PNR volume only I just can't seem to wrap my encephalon around an RH in a "real" setting.
